I was recently prescribed Potassium Cl 2meq/ml Inj 20ml to treat low potassium levels, and I've been a bit anxious about the potential side effects. I've read some scary stuff about allergic reactions and high potassium levels. Has anyone else had experience with this? I'm curious to know how others have handled it and if there are any tips or tricks to make the process smoother. I'm also wondering if anyone has had to deal with the medication leaking from the vein—that sounds terrifying! Any advice or shared experiences would be greatly appreciated.

I had no side effects at all. Different strokes for different folks! Everyone is different, so just keep an eye on how you feel.

Did your doctor explain the signs of high potassium levels? That's what really scared me. I ended up calling them every time I felt a bit weird. Turned out I was fine, though.

I had a really bad allergic reaction once. It was scary. If you have any hives or trouble breathing, go to the ER right away. They need to treat you fast.

My mom had to use this. She said the IV drip was really easy to manage, but she did have some confusion for a bit. Just make sure it doesn't leak out.

You should definitely stay in touch with your doctor. It's a powerful med, so it's good to have someone on your side just in case.

This stuff is no joke. I had a friend who had a really hard time with it. Just be cautious and listen to your body. It will let you know what you need.

I had this after a really bad bout of diarrhea and dehydration. The doc worried about my heart. Never had any serious side effects, but it was a bit uncomfortable.
