Apex has landed on Netflix, and it's already sparked some intense debate. I loved Apex! The stunning landscapes of the Blue Mountains and the intense climbing scenes had me on the edge of my seat. Theron's performance was, as always, exceptional. It's one of her best roles in years. The plot might be predictable, but the execution was top-notch.

I was disappointed that the kayaking scenes weren’t longer, but I can't deny the sheer thrill of the white-water kayaking shots. I watched it with a group of friends, which added to the excitement. They pointed out how relatable the hunter stereotypes felt, noting their own real-life encounters in the outback.

I'm not sure if the film will do well internationally. The outback thriller genre is so specific and maybe it doesn't have the same visceral impact. If Netflix markets it well, it could get more traction.

Finally finished it. While it was good, it felt like every outback thriller ever made. The hunting stereotypes felt a bit heavy-handed, but the action scenes were impressive. Also, why do all these movies have to make Australians seem like a bunch of stereotypes?

I loved the scene where Sasha and Tommy climb the Troll Wall and stop for a kiss. It was romantic and intense at the same time. It's a shame Tommy didn't stick around for the whole movie - maybe we could have seen something more interesting between the two of them.

I think a big part of what makes this film stand out is the landscape. The Blue Mountains were a spectacular backdrop. It felt like a living, breathing character in the movie. The way the climbers and kayakers interact with the landscape made the stunts even more thrilling. It’s a major draw for nature lovers and thrill-seekers, alike.

I thought the film was intense. The cat-and-mouse dynamic between Theron and Egerton was almost like a high-stakes game of chess, with each move calculated and strategic. There was a lot more depth to Egerton’s character than I expected, and while they did use some Aussie stereotypes, it felt like a nod to the tropes we see in these thrillers. It was refreshing to see a strong-willed female protagonist in Sasha.

I still can't figure out how the hunters kept showing up at Sasha's camping spot. The back-and-forth between hiding and confronting them felt repetitive.

I went into this with low expectations, but I was pleasantly surprised. The film had the perfect balance of action and suspense. Charlize Theron's portrayal of Sasha was raw and authentic. What I loved most was how she embodied the essence of her character even without dialogue. Her facial expressions and body language were powerful.

I've got to be honest - I wasn’t a fan. The pacing was off, and the plot twists were way too predictable. The first half of the film had some interesting moments, but it just didn't keep up the momentum. The high stakes didn’t feel earned, in my opinion.
