I've recently started taking Retrovir (AZT) 50mg/5ml Syrup as part of my HIV treatment regimen. The doctor explained it works by blocking reverse transcriptase, which helps reduce the viral load and improve my immune system. However, the list of possible side effects is quite long and some of them are quite scary like severe skin reactions or lactic acidosis.
