Fludarabine for CLL: What You Need to Know About This Chemo Drug
Fludarabine is a chemotherapy drug I've been prescribed for my chronic lymphocytic leukemia. It's given as an injection and works by stunting the growth of cancer cells. The possible side effects are pretty intense, so I'm looking for some insights and experiences from others who have gone through this treatment! This drug is used for chronic lymphocytic leukemia, or CLL, but does anyone have any information on how it's used for other types of blood cancers?
I'm especially interested to hear from people who have experienced the side effects, both urgent and otherwise. I know that there are some severe ones that require immediate medical attention, but I'm also curious about the more common ones. How have you managed them?
Also, I've noticed that it's important to report side effects to the FDA. Does anyone know the process for doing this? How important is it and how do they use the data?
