I'm starting treatment with Fludarabine 50mg Inj for my CLL. I've read the side effects, but I'm curious if anyone here has any advice on managing them. It's especially the fatigue and muscle pain I'm worried about. Anyone have experience with these symptoms? How bad were they and did they go away over time? Any tips on how to cope or mitigate these side effects would be much appreciated. I want to be prepared.

Keep a diary of symptoms. Write down when they start, severity, what you did to feel better. This will help your doctor adjust treatment if needed. You're not alone in this fight.

I was on Fludarabine for a while and one thing that really helped with the fatigue was setting small goals. I'd aim to do one chore a day and rest afterwards, just pace yourself. Small, manageable goals can help keep you motivated.

I've been through it and the fatigue can be brutal. I started yoga and it helped a ton with my energy levels. Take it easy, listen to your body, and don't hesitate to talk to your doctor about management strategies.

Keep hydrated and eat well. It sounds simple, but it's a big part of managing these kinds of side effects. Also, make sure to talk to your doctor about any over-the-counter remedies you're considering for pain or discomfort.

Don't be afraid to ask for help. Friends and family can assist with daily tasks, meal prep, etc. when you're feeling rundown. You should focus on your recovery. I know it's hard but try to let people support you.

I had mouth sores with Fludarabine. My doctor recommended rinsing with a baking soda solution. It helped a lot. It might be a good idea to have some on hand just in case.

Muscle pain was the worst for me. I found that regular massages helped a lot. Also, make sure to do some light exercises to keep your muscles from stiffening up. Good luck and hang in there!
