I received a Sincalide injection earlier this week as part of a test to check my gallbladder function. The medication was given to help simulate the body's response to food ingestion, aiding in the visualization of the gallbladder and pancreas activities via special tests. Since I've received the injection, I've been experiencing some side effects. I made sure I knew the immediate warning signs, as this medication can cause severe and potentially life-threatening side effects, including allergic reactions, changes in blood pressure, and seizures. Additionally, there are more common but less serious side effects, like stomach pain, diarrhea, and dizziness, which can also be troublesome. Has anyone else had this injection? What was your experience like with the side effects?

I recently had to go to the pharmacy for Kinevac 5mcg Inj, 1 Vial. I was curious to know what others have experienced with this medication. It is used to help evaluate how well your gallbladder and pancreas are working, which I found interesting. This medication causes your gallbladder to squeeze and release bile, and your pancreas to release digestive juices, which can then be measured or seen on imaging tests. However, I am a bit concerned about the side effects. Although they say they are rare, it is frightening to see some of the severe and potentially life-threatening side effects listed. And will the side effects go away quickly?
