I recently had to go to the pharmacy for Kinevac 5mcg Inj, 1 Vial. I was curious to know what others have experienced with this medication. It is used to help evaluate how well your gallbladder and pancreas are working, which I found interesting. This medication causes your gallbladder to squeeze and release bile, and your pancreas to release digestive juices, which can then be measured or seen on imaging tests.

However, I am a bit concerned about the side effects. Although they say they are rare, it is frightening to see some of the severe and potentially life-threatening side effects listed. I am eager to share my experience and to read others who have gone through this as well. My questions are, what should I expect after receiving this injection? How long will the effects last? And will the side effects go away quickly?

Make sure to drink plenty of water before and after the test and follow your doctor's instructions for the day. That’s the best way to prepare and get through it.

This medication made me feel like I was having a panic attack, it was really scary! I had a lot of trouble breathing and swallowing, and I was definitely wheezing out of control. I had to be admitted to the hospital to get IV medicine to help.

I feel like I would get really bad allergies from this. My doctor was super careful. He warned me about the symptoms to look out for. I've had bad reactions to medicines before and I feared the worst, but it was completely bearable.

Honestly, the most annoying part was the nausea and diarrhea, but these are common side effects. I didn’t have any bad allergies or trouble breathing though.

I went through something similar, I think we should all be sharing our experiences and educate everyone else who might not be as informed about these side effects. Just be prepared for the worst and hopefully it’ll be the best for you.

I had symptoms that ranged a bit differently. I experienced severe headache and dizziness, but my doctor reassured me it was normal. I recommend keeping a close eye on your symptoms and contacting your healthcare provider immediately if something feels off.
