I have been prescribed Absorica LD 8mg for my severe acne and I’m both hopeful and nervous. The pill does seem to be working, I've finally seen some improvement in my skin. However I’m also scared of the serious side effects that are listed . Has anyone else tried Absorica LD? How did you handle the possible side effects, especially the more serious ones? I'm particularly worried about the risk of birth defects since I have a partner but we are not pregnant. I know I have to be diligent about my pill, but it feels overwhelming to wrap my head around everything. It would be great to hear from someone with some perspective or experience with these pills.

Honestly, the side effects are scary, but if you're desperate for clear skin, Absorica LD might be worth it. Just be prepared for some changes and keep in close contact with your doctor. I had to go to the doctor at some point every month. It's a hassle, but it’s worth it if it helps you feel like yourself again instead of a monster you can't look at in the mirror.

Absorica LD helped my cystic acne, but the side effects were rough. I had some mood swings, but nothing too severe. Just be prepared for some changes and keep in close contact with your doctor. Also, make sure to avoid direct sunlight and use sunscreen daily, your skin will be super sensitive.

I've been on Absorica LD for a while now, and while it's been effective, the side effects are no joke. I've had some pretty bad joint pain and muscle weakness. It's been tough, but my dermatologist has been great about adjusting my dosage and monitoring my progress which has been very helpful. I have been warned about my eyesight and have been told to keep getting regular eye checks for as long as I am on this drug

I had some pretty bad liver issues while on Absorica LD. I had to stop taking it and go through some really tough treatments. Everything turned out okay, but I'm glad I listened to my body and got help right away. Be vigilant about your health while on this medication.

Be prepared for dry skin. I lathered on the moisturizer and used a humidifier at night. It helped a bit, but it was still rough. I also noticed my lips were really dry. I had to start using a lip balm regularly. It was just a hassle and I had to keep checking my lip balm and moisturizer levels. In the end it was worth it, but it was a pain to manage.
