I had no idea it could cause liver problems. I'll have to talk to my doctor about this. Good info, thanks.

Is this why the bottle says not to exceed recommended dose? I always wondered what that meant. My kid has a fever and I gave them a full dose and half and I'm worried. Maybe I'll wait until it goes away before giving more.

I've heard horror stories about liver issues from acetaminophen overuse. How can we make sure we're not giving too much? I only dose my kids when they absolutely need it and not too often, right?

Acetaminophen is a great option for pain and fever relief, especially for kids who might not tolerate ibuprofen well. It's easy to administer in liquid form and works quickly. However, always check with your pediatrician before giving any medication to ensure it's the right choice for your child. We prefer it over ibuprofen for our kids.

I've used both acetaminophen and ibuprofen for my kids. Acetaminophen works well for fever and mild pain, but ibuprofen is great for inflammation and more severe pain. If your kid has a sore throat from strep, ibuprofen is better. But for general fever and aches, acetaminophen works just as well.
