Aclovate 0.05% Ointment 45gm: My Experience and Concerns
I've been using Aclovate 0.05% Ointment for a few weeks now to manage my eczema, and it's been a mixed bag. On one hand, it's definitely helped reduce the redness and itching, but I've also noticed some changes in my skin. I've read about potential side effects, and I'm curious if anyone else has experienced anything unusual. Some of the side effects listed are quite concerning, and I'm wondering if they are as rare as the packaging suggests. It seems like the FDA and doctor guidance is great, but has anyone had issues that weren't addressed by these sources? Have any of you stopped using it due to the side effects?

I've had a weird side effect. I noticed my facial hair getting thicker after using Aclovate for a while. Not sure if it's related, but it's a bit unnerving. Definitely something to keep an eye on.
I've used Aclovate for years with no issues. Just make sure to follow the instructions and don't overuse it.
Just be careful, everyone. Steroids can be super useful but also pretty harsh on your body. I've seen people with adverse reactions, but nothing super serious. If you're worried, talk to your doctor about it.
I had some weird skin changes—stretch marks started appearing out of nowhere. It was super scary, and I stopped using it right away. I’d rather deal with the itching than risk something serious. Has anyone else experienced stretch marks?
This stuff works wonders for my psoriasis. No side effects so far, knock on wood. But I’m paranoid about the long-term effects now, might talk to my doc about other options.
My doc always says, "Less is more." I use it sparingly, and it's been fine. That said, the long-term effects worry me. Any experts know if it affects the adrenal glands? The list of side effects is a bit alarming.
I had a bad reaction to it. Started breaking out in pimples and my skin got all weird. Switched to a different cream and it's been fine.
I’ve been using it and my skin feels way better. I can’t believe how fast it works. Maybe it’s just the placebo effect, but I'll take it! Everyone's different, and the potential side effects seem really minor compared to what I was dealing with.
I haven't had any problems with it. The only thing I noticed is that it makes my skin a bit greasy, but that's a small price to pay for the relief.
I wish I could get this stuff for my eczema. But I'm terrified of the potential side effects. It sounds like it could be really scary if something goes wrong. It’s a catch-22 for sure.
