The emergency room administered the activated charcoal, and while it was effective, I've been experiencing some serious side effects. Has anyone else dealt with this? I'm wondering how common severe symptoms like confusion, severe dizziness, or constipation are after using this drug. The potential side effects are scary, and I'm looking for some reassurance or advice on what to expect! I think it’s important to stay hydrated and eat a bland diet for a few days after taking Actidose-AQ. It really helps with the side effects and makes the whole process a lot smoother. It also helps to have someone to keep an eye on you.

I had trouble breathing and a bit of a cough after the ingestion. I suspect I might have aspirated some of the charcoal. It's scary to think about how serious it could have been.

After taking a glass of the stuff, I went to sleep for a day. Yes, a day. I was so tired. My friend took it with me and they said it was the worst taste of their life

Activated charcoal is so messy though. It can be a lifesaver, but the process of actually using it is not pleasant, at all. I've heard you can mix it with something to help with the taste, but I've never tried it.

I've had severe constipation and stomach issues after taking this. I spoke to my doctor and was advised to increase my fluid intake and use a stool softener. Seemed to work, but it was a rough few days.
