I was recently prescribed Actonel 150mg Tablets Dosepak for osteoporosis. It's been a few weeks, and I've noticed some improvement in my bone density, but I'm also experiencing some side effects like constipation. I'm not sure if I should keep taking it, or if there are any alternatives. Has anyone else had a similar experience? Any advice on managing the side effects or should I consult with another doctor. I've heard of some bad cases with jawbone pain, but I don’t have any of the symptoms listed. Has anyone gone through this experience?

I took Actonel for a year and it really helped with my bone density. I had some minor side effects like upset stomach, but they went away after a few weeks. Just make sure to take it on an empty stomach and stand up for at least 30 minutes afterward.

I've been taking it for six months and haven't had any issues. I've read that some people get constipation, but I haven't experienced that. Just make sure you drink plenty of water, takes a calcium and vitamin D supplement, and eat a balanced diet. Your body needs a lot of support to heal right.

Actonel was a game-changer for me. My bone density improved significantly, and I didn't have any major side effects. Just stay hydrated and listen to your body. If something feels off, talk to your doctor.

Don't forget to talk to your dentist if you have any dental issues before you start. I became a nightmare, in school, I’d joke that I had low calcium levels, but it hit me hard, I had to get my wisdom teeth removed. I'd not suggest this to anyone.

I had a very bad experience with Actonel. I developed severe jaw pain and had to stop taking it. It was really scary, and I wish I had known about the jawbone problems before starting the medication. Be careful, I can't stress that enough.

I had severe muscle cramps and numbness while taking Actonel. I thought I was having a heart attack. Turns out, it was a side effect. Make sure to report any side effects to your doctor immediately. If you experience any of the serious side effects listed, contact your doctor immediately or seek emergency medical attention. But I'd not rush to go to the hospital, unless you're confident.

Those jawbone problems are no joke. My mom had to get dental work done after taking Actonel for a while. She had to stop the medication and switched to a different one. It's a big risk, but it depends on your specific situation. Talk to your doctor for sure.

My doctor recommended Actonel after I had a bone density scan. I'm feeling better, but I've had some flu-like symptoms. Is this normal? Maybe I'm just overthinking it, but it's a little worrisome.

I stopped taking Actonel because of the jawbone problems. It was a tough decision, but I couldn't risk it. Now I'm on a different medication and feeling much better. But always talk with your doctor first. Unmonitored self-treatment is not a good idea.

Has anyone tried other medications for osteoporosis? I'm considering switching because of the jawbone risks. I really want to avoid having dental problems.
