I've been on Adderall XR (D-Amphetamine ER 5mg Salt Combo CP) for about 6 months now, and I've noticed significant improvements in my focus and attention. It's been a game-changer for my ADHD, but I've also experienced some side effects that I wasn't expecting. I've read the literature on serious side effects, but I'm curious to hear from others about their experiences, especially with the more common side effects like trouble sleeping, decreased appetite, and dry mouth. How have you managed these issues, and what tips do you have for making the most of this medication?

I'd recommend keeping a food journal to keep track of your calorie intake. If you notice that your decreased appetite has led to weight loss, you might want to talk to your doctor about adjusting your dose or switching to a different medication. You could also ask your doctor about taking Adderall IR instead of XR.

I've had a pretty good experience with Adderall XR so far, but I did have to work with my doctor to find the right dose. I started at 20mg and ended up at 40mg. I've had some trouble sleeping, so I take my dose earlier in the morning and try to avoid caffeine.

Definitely. I've been on Adderall XR for a few years now, and it's done wonders for my ADHD. I've had some trouble with a decreased appetite and dry mouth, but I've found that drinking tons of water and sucking on hard candy helps with the dry mouth. As for the appetite, I just make sure to eat regularly and keep healthy snacks on hand, but I find it's mostly not a problem.

It's important to remember that everyone's experience with medication is unique. If you're struggling with side effects, talk to your doctor. They can help you find a dose that works for you or suggest an alternative medication. I've been on Adderall XR for a while and it's been a game-changer for me. It's definitely worth talking to your doctor about if you're struggling with ADHD. I took Strattera first, but Adderall XR has been way better.

I wish I could say the same. I started with a low dose and had to go up to 30mg. Unfortunately the side effects for me are too much. I was sweating, my heart felt like it was going to beat out of my chest, and I couldn't sleep at all. Ultimately, I had to get off it. I've been on Adderall but the XR was a lot for me.

I switched from Adderall to Adderall XR because I hated the way Adderall made me feel jittery and anxious. I've been on Adderall XR for a few months now and it's been much better. I still get some jitteriness, but it's much more manageable. I've also noticed that my appetite is much better and I'm not sweating as much. It's like a totally different experience.
