I was recently prescribed Aggrastat 25mg/500 Inj, 250ml (Tirofiban) after a heart procedure. The medication is given by IV infusion to prevent blood clots, and it works by stopping platelets from sticking together. It's supposed to reduce the risk of heart attacks and other serious heart problems. However, I'm a bit worried about the side effects, especially the severe ones like allergic reactions and uncontrollable bleeding. Has anyone else had experience with this medication? I'd love to hear about your experiences, both good and bad. And if anyone knows more about the reporting side effects part, could you please share it? Also, does anyone know how long the treatment typically lasts? Thanks in advance!

I hope everything goes well for you. Just remember, these medications are powerful but necessary in some cases. Stay strong!

Be very careful with any signs of bleeding. I had a friend who had some unexpected issues, and it turned out to be related to the medication. Stay in close contact with your doctor.

Just remember, everyone's body reacts differently to medications. Don't panic if you feel a bit off, but do contact your doctor right away. Better safe than sorry.

I had to take this after a heart attack. It was scary at first, but the nurses and doctors were great. Just make sure you know the signs of an allergic reaction, and you'll be fine.

I work in a hospital, and we see patients on Aggrastat all the time. The most important thing is to follow the doctor's instructions and report any side effects immediately.

I had a mild rash while on it, but the doctor assured me it was a common reaction. I just had to stop taking it for a week and then it was okay.

Where do the FDA and who has been side effects does it report to? I got a weird bruise and I am worried about the side effects.

I've had a family member on Aggrastat, and it was a bit scary at first, but everything went smoothly. Just make sure to monitor for any unusual symptoms. You might need medical advice.

I think the treatment lasts as long as your doctor thinks necessary. Mine was on it for about a week.
