I've been prescribed Airduo Respiclick 113/14mcg Inh(60) for my asthma, and while it's helped improve my breathing, I'm seriously concerned about the potential side effects. I did some research on the urgent side effects list and realized there's a lot to be aware of. I've never had a severe reaction but signs of infection concern me, especially since I've had a worsening cold lately. Everyone has different experiences with medications. I am wondering if anyone else has had serious side effects or if my worries are overblown? I'd love to hear from someone who has been on this medication long-term. I'm not a doctor, but I thought we could discuss the warning signs and what to do. For reference, the fluticasone helps reduce lung inflammation and salmeterol opens up my airways. Together, they help prevent attacks and manage breathing, but they aren't for sudden issues. Doctors didn't talk much about the severe side effects. Instead, we talked about the less concerning ones like headaches, nausea, or throat irritation.

I know this is dumb but I thought the side effects were just like similar to a common cold, then I saw this list. It's more important to be careful.

I switched to Airduo from Advair a few months ago. My doctor said it's similar but works in a different way. The first week I had a lot of throat irritation and a constant cough. I actually thought I was experiencing a throat infection. The irritation went away but the cough has not. Now I'm worried it's something else!

I've had some serious side effects from Airduo. I developed a really bad rash and my skin was blistered. I had pain from the starts of the reaction and so I sought medical attention. I was hospitalized for a week, with doctors saying it was a severe reaction. I was admitted to the hospital with a rare allergy. I was told to avoid the drug completely. I'm still having reactions, 8 months later. I'm scared for my health.

Airduo has been a game-changer for me. I used to have constant chest tightness, but since I started using it, I've barely had any issues. Plus, I didn't experience any of the really serious side effects. The only thing that bothers me is the occasional throat irritation, but it's a small price to pay for being able to breathe normally.

Just a friendly reminder to always keep your rescue inhaler with you. Airduo is a controller medication, not a rescue inhaler. That means it's for long-term control, not for sudden breathing problems. I have the unfortunate experience of knowing someone who ignored this advice and ended up in the ER.

This thread scares me. I'm on Airduo and I've had some chills and sore throat a couple of times. Should I be worried? I was worried about allergy symptoms but I think I'm experiencing a cold.
