Hello everyone, I've recently started using Ajovy for my migraines. It's an injectable medicine that works by blocking CGRP, which is supposed to help prevent migraine headaches. I've been using it for a few months now and have had some mixed experiences. On the one hand, it seems to be helping with my migraines. On the other hand, I've had some side effects that I'm not sure about. I wanted to reach out and see if anyone else has had similar experiences or has any advice. The side effects I’ve experienced so far are mostly local irritation at the injection site. Has anyone else experienced any notable side effects? I’ve also heard about rare, but severe side effects like allergic reactions. I'm kind of worried about that. I want to hear your thoughts and experiences, especially those related to the more severe side effects. Obviously, if my symptoms get bad, I’ll see a doctor, but everyone’s experience is different.

I’ve also heard it’s important to report side effects to the FDA if they occur. Just wanted to share that information for anyone who doesn’t know. If you have any personal experiences or tips, feel free to share!

I don't know about you guys, but I always feel a bit anxious about injectables. Hope the side effects are worth it.

I wish they had a pill version. Injections always make me nervous.

I’ve found that using a cold compress on the injection site helps with the irritation. Ask your doc about it if you’re experiencing discomfort. Also, make sure you’re not injecting into any areas that are sensitive or have had reactions in the past.

Good to know about the side effects and what to watch out for. Thanks for sharing your experiences, everyone. It's always helpful to hear from others who are going through the same thing!

The first time I used it, I had a bit of a panic attack because I didn’t understand the injection process completely. Make sure you get a full walkthrough from your doctor or pharmacist. It can be nerve-wracking at first but you’ll get the hang of it.

I've been on Ajovy for about six months now, and it's been a game-changer for my migraines. I did have some irritation at the injection site at first, but it went away after a few weeks. Just make sure you're injecting it correctly and rotating sites.

I had no idea Ajovy could cause such severe allergic reactions. I'm glad you mentioned it. I'll definitely be more cautious. Also make sure your family members are aware of the side effects. Accidents happen.

This is a good thread to keep track of side effects. I’ve had a few mild reactions but nothing serious. I think even reporting the mild ones to the FDA can help others.
