Really tough choice. The side effects are scary, but for some, the benefits are undeniable. It's all about weighing the risks and benefits.
The serious side effects are part of it. I hope the pharma companies will continue to do more research for better alternatives in future.
I've seen too many friends have serious reactions. The benefits are there, but I'm a bit hesitant about it.
My MPS I diagnosis was terrifying, but Aldurazyme has made it bearable. The injection site irritation is a small price to pay for better health.
I've been on Aldurazyme for two years now, and while it has improved my symptoms, the infusion reactions are no joke. I always make sure to have my doctor on speed dial just in case.
