I take mine with a full glass of water and wait at least 30 minutes before eating or drinking. It's a pain, but it helps with the side effects, I find.

Jawbone problems on this stuff are no joke. My friend's mom had to get her wisdom teeth removed. Just an FYI. I'm personally terrified of them. Let's hope you don't get any of the bad stuff.

I can't speak to the serious side effects, but I do get occasional headaches. I was worried about the jawbone issues, especially since I had some dental work done recently.
