I'm curious to see if anyone else is taking Aliskiren 150mg Tablets for high blood pressure. I have been on this medication for a few months now and have noticed a significant improvement in my blood pressure readings. However, I've also experienced some side effects like diarrhea and occasional lightheadedness. I was relieved to see that these are listed as possible side effects, but I'm still having a little trouble adjusting. I've heard that some people have more severe reactions, so I wanted to start a discussion to hear from others who might be taking this medication. What have your experiences been, and how do you manage the side effects?

I feel ya. I miss the days when I ate anything. I'd eat a whole pizza and not feel any pain. Now I feel like I'm at the mercy of this medication.

I'm on a different medication for my blood pressure, but I think I might switch to Aliskiren. It sounds like the side effects are pretty minor compared to what I'm dealing with now.

Thanks for sharing your experiences! I'm currently on Aliskiren and have been dealing with lightheadedness and dizziness. Has anyone found any tips to manage these side effects? It's been a bit tough to get used to.

Swelling and tingling can be signs of high potassium levels, which is one of the potential side effects. It's definitely something you should discuss with your doctor right away, just to be safe.

I've heard that standing up slowly can help with dizziness. Also, staying hydrated and not skipping meals can make a big difference. Just my two cents.

I had to stop taking Aliskiren because I started having severe kidney problems. I was freaking out because I didn't know if the medicine was causing it or if it was something else. So this thread is definitely helpful. It looks like the meds are not too bad for most. But I'm glad I found out about the kidney problems, as it can be really tough to handle.
