Recently, I started taking Allergy Relf (Cetirizine) 10mg tablets for my seasonal allergies. The box says it's non-drowsy, but I've been feeling pretty tired since I started taking it. Has anyone else experienced this? It's making me wonder if it's really worth it -- I don't want to risk it if it can cause serious problems. I've seen a lot of posts about side effects on other medications, but what should I really be looking out for? The drug information sheet seems overwhelming, with so many different side effects listed. Can anyone share their experiences and help me tell if I'm imagining things or if I should call my doctor?

I had a really bad reaction to Cetirizine. I woke up with hives all over my body and felt like I couldn't breathe. I had to go to the ER.

I took Allergy Relf, and my kid got sleepy. I think the manufacturers lie about the 'non-drowsy' part. With sleepy kids and allergies it feels like a trade off.

I've had a headache or two since I started taking it, but nothing major. I just take an Advil and call it a day.

I think Cetirizine is overrated. I looked up the side effects, and the list of headaches, drowsiness, and dry mouth. the list is scary.
