I've been using Alphagan P 0.15% for a few months now to manage my ocular hypertension. It's been effective in lowering my eye pressure, but I've had a mix of side effects—some minor, and a few that were a bit concerning. I'm curious to hear from others who have used this medication. How have your experiences been? Have you dealt with any side effects, and if so, how did you manage them? Also, for those who are new to this, what should you expect when starting Alphagan P? Are there any tips or tricks for minimizing the side effects? Let's share our stories and support each other!

I think Alphagan P is the devil in a bottle. I can’t do it. I’m going to talk to my doctor about switching again.

I've been on Alphagan P for about a year and have had no major issues. The burning sensation when I first started was tough, but it went away after a few days. Just be patient and stick with it if you can.

Hang in there, everyone. Remember that we’re all in this for the long haul. Glaucoma is no joke, and anything that keeps our vision safe is worth the hassle, right?

I’ve got a tip: keep your eyes closed for a few minutes after you put the drops in. It really helps with that initial burning sensation. Works for me, anyway!

I don't know if it's just me, but I've noticed that my eyes feel really dry after using Alphagan P. Do you think this is a common side effect? Any tips to combat it?

I switched to Alphagan P from another drop and the difference was night and day. Make sure you follow the doctor's instructions for application to maximize effectiveness. I've had really good results!

I've been using the drops for 6 months and the only thing I've really noticed is extreme sleepiness. I thought I was just getting old, but maybe this is the culprit.

I’m an ER nurse and I’ve seen a couple of folks come in with severe allergic reactions to this stuff. It’s rare, but it happens. If you start feeling like your throat is closing up, get help immediately.

Eye drops suck, period. But I've found that if I use a moisturizing saline solution a few hours after my Alphagan drops, it helps a lot. Might be worth a try for anyone struggling with dryness.

Has anyone else experienced severe eye irritation? I ended up in the ER last week because of it. Turned out to be an allergic reaction. Scary stuff.
