Just started Altace and feeling a bit tired. Wondering if this will get better. Does anyone know how long it takes to adjust?

I'm on Altace for my heart health. I’ve had a persistent cough for months. I’ve read that this can be a side effect and it has been a bit annoying. I’m wondering if anyone else has this issue, and if so, have you found any remedies? Should I ask my doctor about switching meds?
This medication is great but the pharmacist forgot to tell me about the persistent cough. I just thought I was getting sick. Had I known ahead of time it would have been useful information.
I'm on Altace too, and I've had some weird symptoms. I got a bit dizzy a few times, but my doctor said it happens sometimes, It's not annoying but I have been feeling tired pretty often. I've been on Altace for a year now. It's been great for my blood pressure, but the persistent cough was annoying at first. My doctor said it's a common side effect and should go away. I also experienced some stomach pain but that went away within a week.
I switched from another ACE inhibitor to Altace and noticed no difference in side effects. Just a deeper cough sometimes, but it's not too bad. It's managed my blood pressure well, though.
