Altuviiio 2000unit Inj: A Game Changer for Hemophilia A Treatment?
I've recently started using Altuviiio for my hemophilia A treatment, and I'm curious if anyone else has had any experience with this medication. It's designed to be administered once a week, which is a significant improvement from other treatments like Advate or NovoEight I've had to take every other day. However, I'm still getting accustomed to the side effects that come with it, especially the joint pain. Has anyone else experienced similar issues? Other than that, I'm really happy with how well it's been working to prevent bleeding episodes. It's been a game-changer. I'm just wondering if anyone else has had similar experiences or any tips on how to manage the side effects would be appreciated!

I’m still on the fence about switching. The convenience is appealing, but the side effects are a bit worrying. Has anyone had any truly severe reactions, or are most of the side effects mild?
Do any of you on this thread take Altuviiio while also on Advate? I'm curious if I could increase the duration on Advate to every week and a half instead.
I actually find the headaches a bit more bothersome. I've had them off and on for the past month. It's nothing too severe, but I know it's not a side effect I have to look forward to. I was thinking about switching back to Advate, just because I know what to expect with that one, but it's a pain to have to take it so often. I'm just debating if it's worth it to me to have to deal with the headaches except if someone has other experiences with these headaches.
Altuviiio is legit a game changer. I was always on the lookout for rashes, but almost forgot about them after now. Since I've switched to this medication. For anyone considering it, strongly recommend.
I've been on it for a year now, no significant issues so far. Sometimes I forget to take my weekly dose, but that's on me.
I switched to Altuviiio after years of dealing with more frequent infusions. The difference in my quality of life is night and day. I can plan my weeks better, and the overall reduction in bleeding episodes has been noticeable. I did experience some joint pain initially, but it tapered off after a few weeks. Stick with it; it gets better.
