Amantadine 50mg/5ml Oral Solution: A Lifesaver or a Risky Business?
Man, I've been taking Amantadine 50mg/5ml Oral Solution for the better part of a year. It's helped a lot with the tremors and stiffness from Parkinson's, but I've had these weird vivid dreams that are pretty unsettling. Has anyone else experienced this? Should I be worried, or is it just a minor side effect?
I've also heard that it can help with the flu, but I'm not sure how effective it would be in that regard. Any thoughts from people who might have used it for that?
Also, I'm curious to know the experiences of those who have used this to manage drug-induced movement disorders. Did you find it helpful in the long run, and if so, what does the journey look like?

I used it for Parkinson's and it was a game-changer. The side effects were manageable, but definitely worth it for the improved mobility.
I tried it for the flu last winter and it worked like a charm. No side effects for me, though I heard it can be rough for some people. Worth a shot if you're desperate!
I've been on Amantadine for a few months now, and the vivid dreams are real! I actually find them kind of interesting, but my doc said it's normal. Just try to look at it as nightly entertainment, haha.
The vivid dreams are the worst. I wake up thinking I've lived an entire life in a different dimension. But yeah, the drowsiness can be a bit annoying too.
I think vivid dreams are just a part of the package when it comes to Amantadine. How about taking a lower dose to see if it helps?
Amantadine really helped my tremors, but I had to deal with hallucinations. They were scary at first but now I can distinguish between real and dreams.
Amantadine is a double-edge sword. I know what you mean about the anxiety, but I also feel like my movements have improved so much. Maybe you should talk to your doctor about it?
I'm dealing with drug-induced movement disorders, and Amantadine has been a godsend. The side effects are annoying but nothing I can't handle.
Anyone else feel really anxious since starting this? It's a little scary, and I wish I had some idea of how to deal with it.
Just started Amantadine a few weeks ago and I'm already feeling the dizziness. Is this something that goes away with time or should I be concerned?
