I recently started using Azelaic Acid 15% Gel to treat my rosacea, and I've seen some amazing progress in just two weeks. The redness and bumps are starting to clear up, and I'm really happy with the results so far. The gel works by reducing inflammation and helping to clear the skin, which is exactly what I needed. However, I've experienced some side effects, like burning and itching, especially during the first week. I'm hoping these side effects will subside soon. Has anyone else had a similar experience? Were you able to stick with it, or did you have to switch to something else? Also, the bottle is 50gm and I'm curious how long that will last with daily use?

For me, the first few weeks were the worst, but after that, the skin irritation pretty much went away. It takes a bit of patience but it's worth it.

I switched to a different brand of Azelaic Acid and the side effects are much better now. I'm assuming it's due to the formulation or other ingredients. Are the 50gms enough to last a month for most people? I really haven't found a way to estimate how long that amount will last.

I had to stop using it because the side effects were just too much. It's sad because it was really helping my rosacea.

I've been using Azelaic Acid for months now, and it's been a game-changer. The initial irritation was tough, but it's definitely worth it for the clearer skin.

Anyone else notice changes in skin color? I'm a bit worried about that.

I've got along with it pretty well. It's great to see such a positive result in just two weeks. I was using that kind of stuff for six months and didn't see any visible progress. If you experience burning, itching or stinging, then it's good to apply it after a shower or before bed, and give it some time to settle. I'd also recommend using more moisturizer and drinking plenty of water.

I found that using a gentle moisturizer after applying the Azelaic Acid helped a lot with the burning sensation. It's made it much more bearable.

Make sure to patch test before applying it all over your face. I did that before starting, and I'm glad I did. I would hate to lose use of this valuable treatment because of an allergic reaction.

The gel has a weird smell, but I guess that's the price you pay for clearer skin, right?
