I recently started taking Ambrisentan 10mg tablets to manage my pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH). The medication has made a significant improvement in my ability to exercise, but I'm curious about the experiences of others. Has anyone else taken this drug and encountered any side effects? The potential serious side effects, like liver problems and allergic reactions, are concerning. I've mostly experienced some flushing and a stuffy nose so far, but I wonder if anyone has had more pronounced issues. I take my medication exactly as prescribed and monitor myself for any signs of the more severe side effects, especially since I know it's crucial to avoid pregnancy while on this drug. How do others manage these concerns? Any tips or personal experiences would be greatly appreciated.

I wish it helped more. I'm experiencing such bad nausea and headaches. Is this common?

I've heard some people have trouble with fluid retention. Make sure you monitor your weight and check with your doctor if you notice any sudden swelling or weight gain. It’s crucial to catch fluid buildup early. I've been using a scale to keep track.

It's a tough condition to manage, but Ambrisentan has been a lifesaver for many. Just be sure to communicate openly with your healthcare provider about any issues that come up. Don't hesitate to reach out if you start feeling unwell. There are often adjustments and alternative treatments that can help.

I had a friend who had to stop taking Ambrisentan due to severe fluid retention. She ended up switching to a different medication and has been doing better. It’s all about finding the right balance and monitoring closely.
