Amlodipine-Atorvastat 2.5/10mg Tabs: Should I be worried about the side effects?
I've been prescribed Amlodipine-Atorvastat 2.5/10mg Tabs to treat both high blood pressure and high cholesterol. The drug combo seems a bit scary, especially all the serious side effects listed. I'm wondering if these side effects are common and how they can be managed. Has anyone experienced any of these? What precautions should I take? Is it worth it to take this medication overall?

It seems like the main thing to watch out for is muscle problems. If you have a family history of muscle issues or thyroid problems you might want to ask your doctor to keep an eye on your liver enzymes and CMP. It saved me from a lot of unnecessary worry when I started taking this combo.
Call me paranoid, but those neurological symptoms have me worried. I've had a stroke before and I'm not looking for a repeat.
I've had muscle pain but not too bad and I'm 69 years old. I would say if you’re in your mid-60 years you have a higher risk of muscle-related side effects. But talk to your doctor about it, they can help.
I switched to this from taking the pills separately, and my numbers have improved a lot. I've had some joint pain, but nothing major so far.
Why is it that every med I take for one problem messes up the rest of my body?
