I started this medication and got a horrible rash. It was so bad I had to switch to a different medication.
I've been on this medication for a while and haven't experienced any side effects. Maybe I am a lucky one, but I would like to know if anyone else has experienced weight gain?

I've had a similar experience with this medication. The dizziness can be quite uncomfortable, but my doctor told me that it's usually a sign that the medication is working. He also told me that swapping from generic to brand name may affect how your body metabolizes the medication, but it's not worth risking your health over. As for the cough, it can sometimes be a side effect of benazepril, but it should go away over time. stick with it and stay hydrated.
