Hi, everyone. I've been prescribed Amlodipine-Benaz 5/40mg Capsules for my high blood pressure. I wanted to know if anyone else has experience with this medication. What has been your experience with side effects, particularly the severe ones? How has it affected your daily life, and how long did it take to see improvements in blood pressure. Also, I'm curious if anyone has compared this to other blood pressure medications like lisinopril or losartan. Thanks for sharing your stories!

Be careful with this med. My mom was on it but had to stop because of severe kidney issues. Doctors switched her to another medication.

You're right about the side effects. My doctor warned me about the risks, especially the liver problems. But so far, no issues here. Just keep an eye on things and stay in touch with your doctor.

I switched from lisinopril to Amlodipine-Benaz and I noticed a significant difference. The cough that lisinopril gave me went away, and my blood pressure is much better controlled. I did have some lightheadedness at first, but it wasn't too bad. I'm glad I made the switch.

If you notice a cough you can always talk to your doctor. It could be due to the medication but they can work with you to adjust the dosage or switch to something else. It's all about finding what works best for you.

I've been on Amlodipine-Benaz for a few months now and it's been a game changer. My blood pressure is much better controlled, and I haven't experienced any severe side effects. I did have some dizziness at first, but it went away after a few weeks. I'm grateful to have found a medication that works well for me.

I'm not sure about food in general, but for cheese at least you should be fine. Just make sure to keep an eye on your sodium intake and if you are not sure, just ask your doctor.
