I've been taking Amlodipine Besylate 5mg Tablets for about a month now to manage my high blood pressure and it's helped a lot. The drug works by relaxing the blood vessels, which makes it easier for blood to flow, and that reduces the strain on my heart. Unfortunately, I've experienced some side effects like dizziness and fatigue, but nothing too severe. Has anyone else had a similar experience? I'm wondering if these side effects will go away with time or if I should talk to my doctor about adjusting the dosage. I'm also curious about the more serious side effects and how common they are. I know some people have reported allergic reactions and liver problems, but I haven't seen any of those symptoms yet. Overall, I think the benefits outweigh the side effects, but I'm always on the lookout for any new developments in my condition.

I was allergic to Lisinopril...the itching and hives were terrible. Thankfully, Amlodipine hasn't caused any allergic reactions for me. I've also noticed some flushing, but it's not too bad. Just something to keep in mind if you have a history of allergies.

Side note: never ignore symptoms of an allergic reaction or liver problems. I know the odds are low, but it's definitely worth keeping an eye out. If you see any of those signs, get to a hospital ASAP.

I've been doing my best to stay informed about the side effects. My doctor gave me a list of symptoms to watch out for, but I'm glad to see more information here. I had a similar discussion on another forum, but I didn't get much information beyond basic side effects.

I'm pretty new to this and I don't have any real comparisons, but if you haven't already, talk to your doctor. They can give you the best advice about your specific situation and help you decide if the benefits are worth the side effects.

I’m not sure if it’s the Amlodipine or something else, but I’ve been having a lot of stomach pain and nausea. I’m not sure if it’s worth switching meds or if this is a sign of something more serious. Anyone else?

Honestly, I've had some bad experiences with blood pressure medications. Everything gave me terrible side effects. But Amlodipine has been pretty good so far, and it's working well for me. My doctor warned me about the rare allergic reactions, but I'm keeping an eye out for the other side effects listed. I'm curious if anyone has had issues with swelling or muscle problems.

Dizziness and fatigue are pretty common with Amlodipine. The good news is that these side effects often subside after a few weeks as your body adjusts to the medication. However, if they persist or get worse, it's definitely a good idea to talk to your doctor.

I haven’t had any serious side effects, but I’ve been feeling unusually tired lately. I’m wondering if it’s the medication or something else. Anyone else experiencing fatigue? It’s been a bit frustrating.

I've been on Amlodipine for a few years now and it's been a game-changer for my hypertension. I did experience some mild dizziness at first, but it went away after a couple of weeks. I have heard about some of the more severe symptoms, but thankfully I’ve never experienced them. I also had my liver function tested regularly, as a precaution.

I started taking Amlodipine last month and I feel like it’s making me really tired. Is this normal or should I talk to my doctor about it?
