So, I've been prescribed Amlodipine/olmesartan Medoxom 10-40mg for high blood pressure. It's a combination of amlodipine and olmesartan, which together help lower your blood pressure by relaxing blood vessels and blocking substances that can narrow them. I've heard good things, but I'm also aware of the potential side effects. Has anyone else taken this? What was your experience like? I'm particularly interested in hearing about any side effects you might have experienced and how you dealt with them. I know the urgent side effects are rare but I'd still like to be prepared. Thanks!

I had some serious side effects like severe dizziness, but my doctor worked with me to manage it. The important thing is to communicate with your doctor. If you're experiencing symptoms, talk to them.

I've heard this can cause some serious side effects but I think my doctor did a good job explaining everything to me. If you experience anything weird, just get it checked out right away.

I avoided this med because of the potential allergic reaction side effects. After a few scares with other meds, I'm just being cautious. I tried it the last time I went in and my doctor was surprised I could get an allergic reaction to one part but not the other. Anyway, I went with a 2 part med (I doubt that exists but it sounds cool).

This combo really helped me get my BP under control, but I did have some weird lightheadedness for a few days. It went away eventually, but I think it's worth mentioning to your doctor if it happens. Since it's a combo, they can adjust the dose or change your meds.

I was worried about the severe diarrhea side effect and made sure to stay hydrated when I first started taking it. Turns out, I didn't experience it at all. I think it's worth giving it a shot if your doctor thinks it's a good fit.

I thought I had a high potassium level because I felt numbness once. I didn't realize that it could be a side effect at first. Turns out it was just a weird nerve reaction. My doctor said everything was fine and to not worry about it. I feel so dumb.

I had a weird rash at first. Like I said, it wasn't bad. It cleared up after a week and never came back. I'm glad I stuck with it because my BP is much better.
