Hello everyone, I was recently prescribed Amlod/val/hctz 10/160/25mg Tablets for my high blood pressure. I've read about the possible side effects, but I'd love to hear from anyone who has taken this medication and can share their experiences. If you have tips on how to manage the side effects, I'd really appreciate it, especially because all three components seem to have their own potential issues. Thanks in advance!

I had a terrible reaction to the valsartan part of the drug. I ended up with hives and swelling in my face. I had to go to the ER ASAP. Definitely listen to your body and call 911 if something feels off. They switched me to a different combo, and I feel much better now.

I was on this for a while, but my blood pressure was still high. The doctor said I need to be more careful with my diet and exercise. I added some walking to my routine and cut down on salty foods. Sometimes I feel a bit tired, but it's better than feeling sick all the time.

Has anyone else noticed changes in their eyesight? I started getting blurry vision after a few weeks, and it freaked me out. I'm keeping an eye on it and will talk to my doc next week, but I'm definitely a little worried.

Though, it seems like this medication really messes with your salt and electrolytes. I've been drinking a lot of water and monitoring my salt intake. Make sure to keep an eye on your urine output too, as it might be an early sign of something more serious.

I'd say the biggest thing to watch out for is your potassium levels. Eat a lot of bananas and spinach to keep them balanced. I've read that the harsh truth is that sometimes you need to make a change in your medication or how you take them. Just be mindful and always talk to your doctor.

This drug is a lifesaver. My blood pressure was through the roof, and now it's finally under control. If you stick to the medication and pay attention to your diet, you should be good. I've been working out more and eating healthier to keep my body in check.

I had muscle weakness, so they told me to cut back on my potassium and salt intake. It took a couple of days to feel normal again. I also started working out more to keep my strength up. It's a bit of a balancing act, but worth it.
