I was recently prescribed Amlod/val/hctz 10/320/25mg for high blood pressure and have been taking them for a couple of months. The medication is a combination of three drugs: amlodipine, valsartan, and hydrochlorothiazide. Together, they are effective in lowering blood pressure, which can reduce the risk of heart attack and stroke. However, I've experienced some side effects like dizziness and headaches. I've found that taking the medication with food helps a bit. Has anyone else had similar experiences? Also, I wasn't aware of the rare but serious risk of skin cancer associated with hydrochlorothiazide. Has anyone had any issues with this? I've been sure to use sunscreen and wear protective clothing, but I'm curious to hear from others about this aspect.

I've had a very different experience. I've only had mild side effects—just a bit of fatigue. But I had a friend who had to stop taking it because of severe muscle spasms. It's interesting how different people react to the same medication.

I've been on this medication for a while now and have also experienced headaches. It gets better with time but it is something to keep in mind. I was worried when I first started taking it but my doctor assured me it's normal. Just make sure to keep up with your regular checkups.

I was prescribed this medication a few months ago and I've had no issues at all. Everyone's experience is different. I guess I got lucky. Just do regular skin checks and keep your doctor in the loop.

Don't forget to monitor your electrolyte levels. I had some issues with muscle cramps.

I've been on it for over a year and the only side effect I’ve had is occasional swelling in my feet. It goes away with a bit of rest. Just remember to drink plenty of water and avoid high-sodium foods. It really helps with the swelling.

I've had a similar experience with the dizziness. It's been manageable, but I've had to be careful about driving or operating machinery. Also, I'm glad someone mentioned the skin cancer risk. I didn't know about that and will definitely be more vigilant about sun protection.

I was really hesitant to start this medication because of the side effects, but my doctor assured me that the benefits outweighed the risks. So far, so good. Just make sure to listen to your body and talk to your doctor if anything feels off.

I’m curious about the skin cancer risk. Has anyone actually had an issue with it?

I've also had the headaches and dizziness but it hasn't been too bad.
