I've been using Ammonium Lac 12% Cream for a few weeks now to treat my dry, scaly skin, and I've seen some improvements, but I'm also experiencing some irritation. Has anyone else had this issue? I'm wondering if I should continue using it or if I should talk to my doctor about switching to something else. Also, I'm curious if anyone has any tips for maximizing the effectiveness of this cream. Does anyone know if it's safe to use on sensitive areas like the face, or should I be sticking to areas like hands and elbows? What have your experiences been with this medication?

I feel like this stuff is too strong for most people. I had bad reactions and ended up just switching to a moisturizer. I would recommend looking for alternatives

Serious question: can you use this on your feet? I have some dry patches that look pretty bad and nothing is going for them.

I had a similar experience with the irritation, so I switched to a lower concentration. It's worked better for me. It's a bit more gentle. Give it a shot and see if that helps, good luck!

I've been using this cream for years and it's been a game-changer for my ichthyosis. I haven't had any serious side effects, just a bit of stinging at first. I think it's worth sticking with it, but definitely talk to your doctor if the irritation is bad. I apply a thin layer every day and it works wonders, also you can use moisturiser afterwards for extra hydration.

I remember when I first started using this, I had a weird burning sensation that lasted for like 5 minutes. It went away eventually, so I’m not sure what that was about. I just wanted to share that in case you want to rule it out

Be careful with this stuff! I put it on before bed one night and woke up with a rash. Turns out I’m allergic to one of the ingredients.

I use this on my elbows and knees, and it's amazing for looking smooth and smooth to the touch. I haven't tried it on my face because it seems too strong for such a sensitive area. I would recommend talking to a doctor about that.

Dry skin is the worst. Good luck with the treatment! You deserve nice skin!

I have the most success with this when I exfoliate first. It's a bit more tough on the skin, but it gives me a much smoother finish.

I gotta say, this thread is making me want to try this out. Anyone have a bottle they're not using anymore?
