I've been using Ammonium Lac 12% Cream for a few weeks now to treat my dry, scaly skin, and I've seen some improvements, but I'm also experiencing some irritation. Has anyone else had this issue? I'm wondering if I should continue using it or if I should talk to my doctor about switching to something else. Also, I'm curious if anyone has any tips for maximizing the effectiveness of this cream. I feel like this stuff is too strong for most people. I had bad reactions and ended up just switching to a moisturizer. I would recommend looking for alternatives
Serious question: can you use this on your feet? I have some dry patches that look pretty bad and nothing is going for them.
I had a similar experience with the irritation, so I switched to a lower concentration. It's worked better for me. It's a bit more gentle. Give it a shot and see if that helps, good luck!
I've been using this cream for years and it's been a game-changer for my ichthyosis. I haven't had any serious side effects, just a bit of stinging at first. I think it's worth sticking with it, but definitely talk to your doctor if the irritation is bad. I apply a thin layer every day and it works wonders, also you can use moisturiser afterwards for extra hydration.
I remember when I first started using this, I had a weird burning sensation that lasted for like 5 minutes. It went away eventually, so I’m not sure what that was about. I just wanted to share that in case you want to rule it out
Be careful with this stuff! I put it on before bed one night and woke up with a rash. Turns out I’m allergic to one of the ingredients.
I use this on my elbows and knees, and it's amazing for looking smooth and smooth to the touch. I haven't tried it on my face because it seems too strong for such a sensitive area. I would recommend talking to a doctor about that.

I have the most success with this when I exfoliate first. It's a bit more tough on the skin, but it gives me a much smoother finish.
