I've been prescribed Amox-Clav 200/28.5mg Chew Tabs for an infection, and I'm a bit worried about the side effects. I've heard some pretty scary things about severe allergic reactions and liver problems. Has anyone else taken this medication? What was your experience like? I know antibiotics can be tough, but I want to be prepared for anything. Also, if anyone has tips on how to deal with common side effects like diarrhea and upset stomach, I'd really appreciate it. The doctor mentioned something about taking it with food, but I'm not sure if that's enough. Thanks in advance!

I had a friend who had such a bad reaction to this that she had to go to the ER. It's scary stuff, so definitely be careful. Always better to be safe and listen to your doctor.

I work in a pharmacy and see a lot of people taking this. Most of them are fine, but a few have had some pretty bad reactions. Always keep an eye out for signs of an allergic reaction and don't hesitate to call your doctor.

What a nightmare this sounds like. I'll stick to my occasional Advil for now, thanks very much. I mean, who wants to deal with all that? Hope you feel better, though.

Taking it with food definitely helps with the stomach issues. Also, stay hydrated—it can help with some of the side effects. Good luck, hope you feel better soon!

I took this for a sinus infection and didn't have any major issues. Just a bit of an upset stomach, but it went away after a couple of days. Make sure to finish the full course, even if you feel better.

Yikes, I had no idea about some of these side effects. I'll keep this in mind if I ever need to take this. Thanks for sharing!

Be cautious with this one. My kid had a severe rash after taking it. We had to stop and switch to something else. The doctor said it was a rare reaction, but it was still pretty scary.

I had a mild reaction but my doc was able to handle it. Seriously, stay in touch with your doctor. They have a lot of experience with these things and are there to help.
