Amoxil 125mg/5ml Susp 80ml: My Experience with This Antibacterial and Tips for Others
I recently picked up Amoxil 125mg/5ml Susp 80ml for my daughter who had an ear infection. This antibiotic has been a lifesaver, but I noticed some side effects and wanted to share my experience. I've seen some scary side effects listed, but I'm curious if anyone else had issues as well. Amoxicillin is great for bacterial infections but seems to not be good if you have a viral infection. Looking for tips and experiences to make sure we're doing everything right.

I just finished a course of Amoxicillin for a skin infection and felt like I had the flu the whole time. Doctors say it can happen, but it sucks.
Yeah, C. diff-associated diarrhea (CDAD) is no joke. My mom got it after a round of antibiotics and it was rough.
Amoxicillin is great, but I can’t stand the taste of the suspension. Any tips on how to make it more palatable would be a life saver.
I'd recommend speaking to a professional for any kind of allergic reactions you notice, especially the ones that can be serious. No home remedies for this stuff.
This is a great thread. Amoxicillin is one of the most commonly prescribed antibiotics, so sharing experiences is super helpful. Been there, done that, and I second the taste issue
Seriously though, if you experience any of those severe skin reactions, get to a doctor immediately. I've seen cases of Stevens-Johnson syndrome and it's terrifying.
