I recently picked up some Anti-Itch Cream Max Strength 28gm for some nasty insect bites I got on a camping trip. The cream contains an antihistamine that helps relieve itching and irritation caused by insect bites, minor skin irritations, and rashes. It works by blocking a natural substance in your body that causes itching and by providing a local numbing effect. I was skeptical at first but it really worked. The only issue is that the packaging is a bit confusing and could use an update. Also, I've noticed some worrying side effects listed: an allergic reaction or skin irritation. What has been everyone's experience with this cream?

I've never had a reaction, but I always keep a close eye on my skin when I use it just in case

I had a really bad reaction to this cream a few years back. I ended up with hives all over my body and had to go to the ER. It was terrifying. I won't be using it again after that experience. I do know lots of other people who use it with no problems at all. Keep it away from your eyes. It really burns if it gets in your eyes. The itching stops. The pain in your eyes might not.

I love this cream! It's a bit pricey but it works so well. I always have some in my medicine cabinet for those moments when itchy skin becomes unbearable. I just wish the tube was bigger.

I used this for a rash and it worked wonders. But, if you have sensitive skin, be careful because it did make my skin a bit irritated. It took a few days for it to go away. If you don't use this make sure to do some allergy testing.
