I was recently prescribed Lytgobi 4mg tablets (20mg total daily dose) to treat my cholangiocarcinoma. The doctor explained that it works by blocking certain signals that help cancer cells grow and spread. I've been reading about the possible side effects, which can be quite scary, and although my doctor was very reassuring, I would love to hear from others who have taken this medication. Have you had any unexpected side effects? What has your experience been like overall? Is the medication worth the potential side effects? I'd appreciate your help.

I was on Lytgobi for a while, and the worst part for me was the dry mouth. It was so uncomfortable, but I managed it with lots of water and sugar-free gum. It helped. I think I might check out those electrolyte tablets

I had a pretty mild experience with Lytgobi, which was a relief. I just got some general fatigue and a little weight loss. I know others have had it worse, so I'm just grateful I didn't experience much of anything.

I think Lytgobi is effective for treating bile duct cancer, but knowing the possible side effects is crucial; I'd remind everybody to make sure you have the contact details of your doctor/family member handy at all times.

What is the best way to manage the nausea from Lytgobi? I can't find any concrete advice on that.

I've felt a lot of tiredness and muscle pain since starting Lytgobi. Just wanted to ask if that's normal and how I'm supposed to deal with it?

Some people might find it useful to keep a symptom journal while taking Lytgobi. That way, you can note down what helps and what doesn't. I'd also recommend staying in close contact with your doctor and being proactive about reporting side effects rather than waiting for them to get worse.

I've been on Lytgobi for about 6 months now. The first few weeks were tough with some pretty bad nausea and fatigue, but it's gotten better. My oncologist says the treatment is working, and that's what matters to me. I just have to remember it's a journey, and sometimes the side effects are part of it.

I had a really bad reaction to Lytgobi. I had severe diarrhea and cramps, and ended up in the ER with dehydration. It turns out, I should have taken the tablets with my food. The doctor changed my dosage schedule, and I felt a lot better.

I don't know how I feel about all these medicine side effects. I got some redness and hair loss. It's a difficult decision knowing if you take the medicine, you're almost sure to get sick.
