Anyone else dealing with severe allergy reactions to Omnipred 1% Ophthalmic Suspension? How do you manage it?
I was prescribed Omnipred 1% Ophth Susp 5ml after a recent eye surgery to reduce swelling and redness. However, I've been experiencing some severe side effects, some of which include a rash, hives, and itching and have been worried it might be an allergic reaction. I am wondering if anyone else has experienced any of these side effects and how you managed them. The idea of an allergic reaction is really scary, and if you've had to do something like this, I'd love to hear some first-hand experiences.

For anyone dealing with severe side effects, make sure to document everything and talk to your doctor. It's important to find a solution that works for you without causing more harm.
My friend was prescribed this and she actually allergic to all cortisone. We talked to the doctor who suggested an antihistamine and the situation got better.
I had the same issue. It turned out it wasn't the Omnipred but another medication I was using. Always good to check with your doctor about all the medications you're taking and see how they interact.
I've had to deal with eye irritation and changes in eyesight after using Omnipred. I guess it is worth it if you are in pain, but otherwise, I wonder if there are better solutions.
