I was prescribed Omnicef 250mg/5ml Suspension 100ml for a nasty sinus infection. I've been taking it for a few days, and while the infection seems to be getting better, I've had diarrhea pretty much non-stop. I know it's a common side effect, but this is getting ridiculous. I called my doctor, and they said to keep taking it and it should go away. I think I might switch to a different antibiotic, but I wanted to see if anyone else has had this experience. And if so, what did you do about it?

My kid had Omnicef a few times and never had any issues. Maybe it's just you're sensitive to it.

I had a bad reaction to Omnicef too. It was a red, itchy rash all over my body. I had to stop taking it immediately.

I had the same issue with Omnicef. It sucks, but my doctor said it was important to finish the course. I ended up switching to a different antibiotic because it was just too much.

I had diarrhea too, but I just drank lots of water and it went away after a few days. I felt miserable, but I was able to finish the course.

I've had Omnicef a few times and never had any issues at all, but everyone is different.

Diarrhea is definitely a common side effect, but if it's severe, you should probably talk to your doctor again. They might be able to adjust your dose or switch you to something else.

I had a different kind of antibiotic, but I had horrible stomach pain and cramps. I think I might have had that Clostridioides thing. It was awful.

If you're experiencing any other symptoms like seizures or jaundice, get to a doctor ASAP. Those are serious.
