I've been using Timoptic 0.5% Ophth Soln 10ml eye drops for a few weeks now, and I've noticed that I often experience a burning sensation when I apply the drops. I've checked the side effects list, and while it does mention burning or stinging sensations, I'm curious if anyone else is dealing with this and if it gets better over time. I've also noticed some mild eye irritation, but that seems to be improving. Has anyone found a way to manage these side effects better, and what are your overall experiences with this medication? It's crucial to manage the side effects as it is used to treat potentially dangerous eye conditions such as glaucoma.

Side effects suck but the alternative is losing your sight. I think it's worth the trade-off.

I had a really bad reaction with Timoptic. I actually ended up in the ER. I started wheezing and my throat felt tight. I'm trying to remember if it was the same medication, and I want to warn others to be careful. I was really scared.

Timoptic is very useful for my glaucoma, but the burning and irritation are not pleasant. I've heard some people use artificial tears to help alleviate the symptoms.

I found that using a warm compress after applying the drops really helps with the burning sensation. It might be worth a try!

I've noticed that if I'm consistent with my application, the side effects like irritation seem to lessen. Just make sure you're not missing doses.
