I was prescribed Minipress 5mg Capsules for high blood pressure and enlarged prostate. The doctor warned me about potential dizziness, but I didn't expect it to be this bad. I've had a few episodes of severe dizziness, especially when standing up. Has anyone else had this issue? Any tips on how to manage it?

Also, I've been reading about the potential side effects and I'm a bit worried. Have any of you experienced any other severe issues?

I'm taking it exactly as prescribed, but I'm still feeling lightheaded and dizzy. Should I be concerned if it's been a couple of weeks and I'm not feeling better?

Can anyone share their experience with this medication? I'd appreciate any insights or advice. Thanks!

I had to switch to a different medication after a week because the dizziness was so bad. My doctor said some people just don't tolerate Minipress well. Luckily, I found something else that works for me.

My friend had to stop taking Minipress because of severe dizziness. He also felt really weak and dizzy and his heart was racing. He switched to something else and felt much better. Sounds like you should talk to your doctor and discuss alternative medicines.

Dizziness is the least of my problems. This medication is helping with my prostate issues but honestly, I’d rather not feel like I’m getting off a rollercoaster every time I stand up. Just be patient and hope it gets better.

I was prescribed Minipress for my enlarged prostate and I had no idea it could cause dizziness. I've been feeling lightheaded a lot, but it's manageable. Have you tried adjusting your diet or exercising less intensely? Sometimes blood pressure medications can be helped with lifestyle changes too.

The dizziness is terrifying. I had to sit down for a few minutes after standing up. But after a while I got used to the medication. I noticed taking it at night helped me a lot. Just make sure you are not dehydrated, and avoid sudden standing and sitting. Stay calm, and you will be fine. There is a lot of things we can do to adjust to it in our daily lives.

Minipress worked wonders for me. I had no side effects at all. But everyone's body is different, so if you're having trouble, maybe talk to your doctor about adjusting the dosage or trying something else. It's all about finding what works best for you.

Minipress has been a lifesaver for me. I did experience some dizziness at first, but it went away after a couple of weeks. Just make sure you're taking it as prescribed and give your body time to adjust. It's totally worth it if it helps with your blood pressure and prostate issues.
