Anyone else experiencing severe side effects from Brimonidine 0.15% eye drops?
I was prescribed Brimonidine 0.15% Ophthalmic Solution for my glaucoma and have been using it for a few weeks now. While it seems to be doing its job in lowering the pressure in my eye, I've been experiencing some pretty uncomfortable side effects like burning sensations, blurred vision and a feeling of something constantly in my eye. I know it can cause these but I guess I was hoping for a smoother experience. Has this happened to anyone else? I'm wondering if it's worth sticking it out despite these symptoms. Does anyone know if these side effects will go away with time, or should I be considering an alternative? Thanks in advance for any insights.

I switched to a different medication after experiencing severe eye irritation. It's worth discussing with your doctor, it could be something else.
I had a weird feeling in my eye too. I felt like there was something stuck in it. Not sure if it was the Brimonidine or something else, but it went away after a while.
I felt the same way when I started using Brimonidine. It wasn't fun, but my doctor said it might take a few weeks to get used to. Now I barely notice it.
I had to stop because I got eye swelling. Be safe!
Hang in there! It gets better.
Don't forget to report the side effects to the FDA. Helps everyone else out.
I'm sorry you're dealing with this. It might be worth it to tough it out with Brimonidine, but definitely talk to your doctor before making any moves.
