I've been prescribed Sabril 500mg Tablets to help manage my complex partial seizures, but I'm feeling very concerned about the potential side effects. The medication works by increasing a natural calming chemical in the brain called GABA, which is supposed to help reduce seizure activity. However, I'm noticing a few troubling symptoms that I'm not sure are worth the risk of taking this medication. Is anyone else out there dealing with similar issues? I'd love to hear from anyone who has experience with this medication or has a family member dealing with epilepsy. Any insights would be greatly appreciated!

I've been on Sabril for about a year now, and while it has helped with my seizures, I've also experienced some pretty nasty side effects. I've had dizziness, drowsiness, and even some memory problems. It's definitely something to talk to your doctor about.

Why do all seizure medications have such scary side effects? I've had to try a few different ones, and they all have their own set of issues. It's a tough road, but hopefully, we can all find something that works.

I'm so glad I found this thread. I've been feeling really nervous about starting Sabril, and seeing all these side effects listed is pretty scary. I'm really hoping that the benefits will outweigh the risks.

I've had some nerve issues, like burning and tingling, but my doctor said it might go away if I stop taking it. It's definitely something to watch out for, though. Just make sure you're in close communication with your healthcare provider.

My daughter was prescribed Sabril for her infantile spasms, and it's been a game-changer. We had to monitor her closely for side effects, but so far, she's doing great. Just keep a close eye on any changes and talk to your doctor regularly.

I've seen a few people on here talk about nausea and vomiting. It's not fun, but I've managed to control it with some antacids while keeping an eye on my diet.
