I've recently started using Brimonidine 0.15% Ophth Sol 15ml eye drops to manage high pressure in my eyes. The doctor prescribed them to prevent glaucoma. The drops seem to be working well so far, but I've noticed a few side effects that I'm not sure are normal. Has anyone else experienced burning or stinging sensations, blurred vision, or feeling like there's something in your eye? I've also been feeling a bit tired and weak lately. I know these are listed as possible side effects, but I'm just wondering if anyone else has gone through this and if there are any tips to deal with them. Also curious if anyone has experienced any of the more severe side effects mentioned in the documentation. Stay safe, everyone!

I've been using these drops for a while now and I get the burning sensation too. It's annoying but manageable. I've found that using artificial tears before the drops helps a bit. Just make sure to wait a few minutes between using the two.

My mom uses these and she had some swelling around her eyes for a couple of days. Scared us half to death but the doctor said it was okay. Just made her stop the drops for a few days and start again.

I had the blurred vision thing for the first week or so, but it went away. I can only blame the drops, and not the eye pressure, because it coincided with when I started using them. It was a little scary at first, but it stopped. I’ve been fine since.

I’m not sure what you guys are talking about. I've tried these drops before and stopped after a few days. I don’t know if my eye pressure went down, but I won't be using the drops again. Mine were a bit more expensive. I think they cost a lot more.

I get the feeling like something is in my eye all the time. I’ve learned it’s just my eyes adjusting and it goes away eventually. It’s a bit of a pain. But better than having glaucoma. I’ve seen people have glaucoma and it’s ugly.

I wish I had known about that burning sensation before starting. I’m not sure I love the eye drops. I don’t love the idea of a potentially life-threatening allergic reaction. I’m going to ask my doctor if there’s a different option.

I haven't had any of those side effects, but I do get weird headaches sometimes. Usually goes away in an hour or so. Might just be a coincidence though. I’ve had way worse headaches with other medications. So, I’ll take it!

The dry mouth is the worst for me. I keep a bottle of water handy at all times now. Also, if you’re feeling sleepy, just take a quick nap. Don’t fight it. My doctor advised me to do the same. She said I should not operate machinery or drive until I’m used to the medication.

I switched to a different brand of the same medicine. It was a bit more expensive but the burning sensation was much better. I think it’s worth a try talking to your doctor about a different brand.
