I've been on Ortho-Tri-cyclen Lo for a couple of months now, and I've noticed some changes in the pill's appearance. It now has an orange dye, and I'm wondering if this could be causing some weird side effects I've been experiencing. I've had some dark urine and persistent stomach pain, which isn't typical for me. Has anyone else noticed anything similar? I've read the side effects, but the changes are so abrupt that I'm wondering if it's something in the formulation. I've also experienced some mood swings but I've chalked those up to the usual hormonal changes. Just hoping that someone else has been through this and can shed some light or offer advice.

I just switched to Ortho-Tri-cyclen Lo from a different brand, and I haven't noticed any side effects related to the orange dye. But I did experience some nausea and vomiting during the first month. I'm hoping it will pass as my body gets used to it. I've also heard that the orange dye could be a sign of changes in the fillers or binders used in the pill. Might want to research that or chat with your gynecologist!

The orange dye could be a reaction to some people with lower tolerance for dyes, especially those with allergies. It's definitely worth mentioning to your doctor. I had a similar issue with birth control pills before, and it turned out to be a sensitivity to one of the inactive ingredients. Have you tried switching to a different brand to see if the symptoms go away?

I've been on Ortho-Tri-cyclen Lo for years and never had any issues until recently. I also noticed the orange dye change, and I started experiencing really bad headaches. I thought it was just stress at first, but it's been persistent. I'm definitely going to talk to my doctor about it. I've also been feeling really bloated and fatigued, which is unusual for me. I've heard that changes in dye can sometimes affect how your body reacts to the medication, so it might be worth mentioning to your doctor.

Not sure if it's the dye or something else, but I've been having similar issues. My stomach has been really upset lately, and I've been feeling bloated and exhausted. I'm definitely going to mention this to my doctor.

Honestly, I think the dye change is just a coincidence. I've been on Ortho-Tri-cyclen for ages and never had any issues. But it's definitely worth mentioning to your doctor if you're feeling unwell. It's always better to be safe.

I've been on Ortho-Tri-cyclen for a while and never had issues with the orange dye. Just wanted to suggest you keep a journal of your symptoms and maybe also track what you eat and drink. Sometimes, other factors can contribute to side effects, and it might help your doctor pinpoint the cause. Might want to check the inactive ingredients as well.

I'm always skeptical when I notice changes in my birth control pills. I remember when the pill changed color from white to orange. I immediately freaked out, thinking it must be a counterfeit or something. After some research, I realized it was just a change in the dye used. But you're right, it's always worth being cautious and keeping an eye on any side effects. I had some anxiety and mood changes in the first month. It seems like our bodies need time to get adjusted.

I've heard that some people react to changes in the pills. I used to take the white version. But now, the orange dye is definitely present. It makes me wonder if something was changed in the formulation to accommodate the dye.

When the FDA approves new formulations they generally require clinical trials to exclude people with dye allergies but there may be new side effects with low incidence that were not detected at this stage. Since you're experiencing multiple issues, I'd suggest keeping a detailed log of your symptoms and taking it to your doctor. If it's the orange dye, they might be able to switch you to a different brand that doesn't have it.

You might be experiencing something similar to the anxiety and mood changes I felt when I first started taking Ortho-Tri-cyclen. It took me a few months to get used to it, and I had some strange side effects at first. It might be worth talking to your doctor about switching to a different brand or adjusting the dosage. But I will also look into the dye thing. I hope you figure something out.
