Anyone else find Chlorpheniramine (Allergy 4mg Tabs) incredibly drowsy? Tips to cope?
I've been taking Chlorpheniramine 4mg tablets for my allergies, and while they do help with the sneezing and itching, I'm finding them to be incredibly drowsy. I've been trying to take them at night, but I'm still feeling groggy the next day. Is this normal? Does anyone have any tips to cope with the drowsiness, or should I talk to my doctor about switching medications? I've heard that some people take a lower dose and it helps, but I'm not sure if that's safe. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

I felt the opposite, it gave me anxiety and kept me up all night.
Same, I've found that taking it with food helps a bit. Also, make sure you're staying hydrated!
I took some and felt like I had taken a benedryl. Barely got out of bed the next day. I think you should talk to your doctor.
I take it before bed and it helps me sleep through the night. Maybe try that?
I switched to a non-drowsy antihistamine and it was a game-changer. Talk to your doctor about it.
I've been on this medication for a while and I've never had any issues with drowsiness. Maybe it's just you?
