Our pediatrician prescribed Amox-Clav ES 600mg/5ml Susp 75ml for our 4 year old's ear infection. I've read about the potential side effects and I'm a bit worried. Has anyone else given this to their child? What was your experience? Should I be prepared for any of the rare but serious side effects? I just want what's best for my little one.

My kid threw up within a hour of taking it. We stopped giving it and called the doctor. Turns out, he was allergic. Just be cautious, parents!

I think I'll stick to natural remedies. Antibiotics always scare me with the potential side effects.

I didn't know about the C. diff-associated diarrhea. That's scary stuff. Hopefully, your kid won't have any issues!

I gave this to my kid and he was fine. No side effects at all. I think you'll be alright!

We had to give this to our son last year. He was fine, but he did get a bit of diarrhea. Nothing too bad though, just kept an eye on him. Good luck!

I works at a pediatric office, and this is a common prescription. Most kids tolerate it well. Just monitor for any signs of an allergic reaction and you should be fine.

My daughter had a really bad reaction to this. She broke out in hives and had trouble breathing. We had to rush her to the ER. It was terrifying. Be careful and have your doctor's number handy.

Did your pediatrician mention anything about probiotics to help with the diarrhea? That's what we did and it helped a lot.
