I was prescribed Atacand 16mg Tablets a few months ago for my high blood pressure. I've been taking them regularly, but I've had some side effects. First of all, I've been experiencing mild dizziness. It's not too bad, but it's noticeable. My doctor said it was a common side effect and nothing to worry about, but I wondered whether I was being cavalier or if this kind of side effect is actually common. I have also been getting the occasional flu-like symptoms and sore throat, which I’m trying to manage with rest and hydration. I’m curious to know if anyone else has had similar experiences or if there are any tips for managing these side effects. The medication has helped with my blood pressure, which is great, but these side effects are a bit of a nuisance.

Dizziness really sucks and it can become debilitating. Sometimes, it's worth switching to a lower dose or an alternative. Be honest about your symptoms with your doctor and see if you can find a better solution.

Oh no, I had to stop taking Atacand because of severe dizziness. It made it hard to do daily tasks. Talk to your doctor about switching to something else.

I'm on it for heart conditions and it's been okay. I get a bit dizzy, but better than feeling like my heart is going to explode. Side effects are temporary, so hang in there.

I heard some people have to take Atacand with food to avoid stomach issues. Maybe that could help with those flu-like symptoms? It’s worth a shot, I guess.

I wish they included all possible side effects in the leaflet. I didn't expect the flu-like symptoms. Do you think your doctor mentioned them?

The whole URINARY thing scared me. I thought something was wrong with my kidneys - turns out I just had to drink more water. Silly me.

I've been on Atacand for a year and I have some pretty mild side effects. I've learned to manage it by staying hydrated and getting enough rest. My doctor recommended some lifestyle changes like reducing salt intake, which has helped a lot. It's not fun, but it's definitely manageable.

Side effects are rough. I took Atacand for a while and felt like I was constantly battling a cold. Switched to something else and feel much better now. You need to advocate for yourself.

Sorry to hear about your side effects but remember to always speak to your doctor before making any changes. Atacand is great blood pressure management tool. Just have patience and work with your physician.

For me, Atacand was a game-changer. I didn't have any side effects, but everyone's body is different, unfortunately. If you think the side effects are too much, you might need to adjust your meds.
