Anyone else had issues with Kcl/d5w/nacl Inj, 1000ml IV fluids?
I've been receiving Kcl/d5w/nacl Inj, 1000ml IV fluids for electrolyte imbalances, and I'm curious if anyone else has had any issues with them. I've heard some people experience some pretty serious side effects, like severe allergic reactions. I'm just wondering what to expect, as I don't want to take any risks. I know it's supposed to help with dehydration and stuff, but I want to make sure I'm not missing any other potential risks. Is it worth it? I've had this IV a few times, and each time I felt much better afterwards. Just make sure to follow the instructions and talk to your doctor about any concerns. You're in good hands.
I work in a hospital, and we use this IV fluid a lot. It's great for correcting electrolyte imbalances, but you have to be careful with the infusion rate. Too fast, and you can overwhelm the patient's system. Always monitor for signs of fluid overload, like swelling in the arms or legs.
